Today, I am going to tell you how to make butterscotch pancakes and for this recipe you will need:
- A Frying Pan
- A fork/whisk
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 sachet of butterscotch mix
- A Spatula
Steps
- Add all dry ingredients (Flour, baking powder, sugar, butterscotch mix)
- Then add ¼ of the milk and then mix quickly but carefully.
- Once that milk has evaporated into the dry ingredients, add 2/4 of the milk and then repeat the mixing method on step 2.
- Add the last of the milk once the 2/4 of the milk on step 3 has been mixed in and then mix again.
- Once the milk is mixed, is should look thick and gooey but now you will need an adult to give you a hand if you aren’t old enough to use a stove.
- Turn the stove on medium and put the frying pan on the flame then get a thin slice of margarine/butter and put it in the frying pan.
- Pour the butterscotch pan mix into the pan carefully and then put the mixture back on the pan and keep an eye on the pancakes because it’s 2 minutes on each side.
- Once it has been 2 minutes, grab a spatula and then flip the pancake.
- When it’s been another 2 minutes on the other side, take it out with a spatula and put it on a serving plate and top it of with maple or golden syrup.
Tip: Wait until the pancakes cool down then top them off with whipped cream
