Rat Traps - Inquiry - Bay Bush Action

As part of our inquiry this term we have been given some  rat traps by Bay Bush Action. We check the traps everyday Last week, we checked the rat traps Brad and Stella gave us and we got a rat and a mice. Each trap has a number and we use this to log our catch onto a website. Our goal is to become the first pest-free school in New Zealand. Here are the photos down below.

Kereru Presentation - Panui

For the past two weeks in Te Ngahere, we were studying about native and endemic animals and plants to New Zealand.  WALT make connections between what we already know and what we read. My partner and I chose Kereru. We had to include a bunch of important questions to add such as where it lives, what it eats, threats, interesting facts, why we should protect it and what job it does in the ngahere. We could also choose a couple of questions we wanted to find out about  too. I think we did well gathering our information and paragraphing it into our own words. Here’s our presentation down below.
